It is with pleasure we introduce to you the 2017 South GC Business Expo With the theme – Collaborate 2017.
Small businesses do BETTER business – when they band together and have a strong voice, it does not have to be a struggle and the Expo’s theme reflects the need for all stakeholders to Collaborate to ensure we all SUCCEED.
Now in its third year, the 2017 South GC Business Expo is a B2B Marketplace of over 400 small business owners who come together to Showcase – Connect – Learn.
To date, we have brought together 750 small business owners and had 22 speakers provide on-trend information to help sustain and grow businesses.
South Gold Coast does not have a business hub so it is crucial that our target audience – consisting of home-based, micro and mobile businesses have a shop front once a year. We also do have shop fronted businesses attend, looking to attract more $$ sales.
The Expo is held within the community so that the leads come from local businesses who live just around the corner from you.
We have supported two charities – TLC for Kids and also the Life 2 Project and our charity this year is Support the Girls Australia – yes another Domestic Violence charity – we are still experiencing the murder of women in our own community so we continue to support these charities that provide services to women and their children.
The sponsors are local businesses that believe in the need for a strong, vibrant small business community.
We have sponsors who have been with us from the first Expo and they are joined by four new sponsors this year who will help us move the Expo forward onto an even stronger footing.
Our new venue has welcomed us with open arms and we thank the Upper Coomera State College – Shelley Kent, Lynn Davies and Principal Chris Capra.
Networking over lunch has always been a highlight of the Expo and we have 4 new food trucks this year and LIVE MUSIC this year – so we have created a festive event as well TO CELEBRATE SMALL BUSINESS.
Our workshop presenters will be announced in a few weeks time. We have changed the format and this year have 8 hands-on workshops where small biz owners will be able to attend each one and are guaranteed to take away 10 actions or pieces of information that they can implement into their businesses – attend all 8 and that is 80 pieces of information.
We NEVER want to hear, “We didn’t get a result out of the Expo, so …”
To ensure the Trade Table Holders have the best chance of making sales, we provide a free ‘How to Sell from a Trade Table’ Workshop and a checklist for Expo Sales Success prior to each expo provided by Expo mentor, Trevor Russell. This workshop has been delivered prior to every Expo over the past two years.
Living with IT Pty Ltd under the brand of the South GC Business Networking Events runs sell-out monthly small business networking lunches as well as social business events and also hosts the yearly 2017 South GC Business Expo, the 2017 South GC Business Expo and the 2017 Logan and Surrounds Business Expo.
